How To Stay Zen Through Out The Day
I know it can be very difficult to stay calm especially when you’re working long and hard hours at work. You have to make enough money to pay the rent bill or the water bill…But it is very important to take care of your mental health, not just your physical health, but your whole well being. Down below is list that I put together to help you to live slowly and to stay zen.
1. To stay zen you must stick to a routine. Don’t think of a routine as a chore. Be present with every task. If you’re washing up as the end of the day, take pleasure cleaning your teeth, moisturizing your skin. If you’re taking a bath, use products that have lavender in it such as, epsom salt and/or bubble bath. Sit in the warm aromatic concoction and be still.
2. Meditate. I meditate twice a day. The morning meditation is focusing on breathing and focusing on being present. The evening meditation is a guided meditation that is about concentrating and focusing especially if the mind tends to wander. Concentrate on your breathing and bring your focus back to how your body feels. Do some simple stretches while focusing on your breath. While focusing on healing your aches and pains your breathing can help with your healing.
3. I know this one is beneficial to all introverts. But the extroverts need to practice this as well and that is to take pleasure in being alone. Take up a solitary activity such as reading, storytelling, or knitting. There is no distractions. There is only focus and that is every word you write/read, and every knit and pearl. Feel the sanctuary you have created for yourself and just breathe.
4. Fix a healthy meal. You can make a vegan dish such as chili. Substitute the meats with vegan alternatives. Concentrate on each task of making the dish. Breathe with every step. Make butternut squash soup with butternut squash and potatoes with onion, carrots and celery. Take your time savoring every taste you introduce to your soul.
So, this is my list of staying zen through out the day. I hope this helps. I’ve tried these this past week. I know it’s not long enough. Put, so far, it has helped. If you can try it for a week try it for another week and another week. I know that on past posts the one’s who have read my blog tend to go to self-help posts. Let me know what you want me to post next week: a commentary of world views such as roe vs. wade, short fiction stories, self-help for mental health and how to make dealing with it less stressful?
