The Four Important Resolutions That Will Benefit You In The Future:

No matter what your intentions are for the New Year, these resolution, which I'll mention to you, will benefit you in the future health wise.
1.  Getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night.  This allows you to restore and regenerate your body.  I get 12 hours of sleep a night.  I know that seems a lot but my body thanks me for it everyday.
2.  Drink plenty of water.  When you wake up have at least 16 ounces of water because your probably dehydrated first thing in the morning.  A useful tip to see if you're drinking enough is the color of your urine.  If your urine is a gold color your not hydrating enough.  If it's clear your on the right path.
3.  Meditation:  This goes hand in hand with getting enough sleep.  Meditation allows your mind to recuperate from what stress is ailing you.  Give your mind a little me time by being mindful of things around you.  Allow your mind to rest.  Try aromatherapy with the scent of lavender at the same time as using a meditation app for at least 5 minutes every morning or evening.
4.  Eat plenty of vegetables and fruit.  Try meal prepping so you can plan in advance what food you are going to eat.  Usually if you don't plan you tend to grab towards unhealthy foods.   Put greens into a smoothie with some frozen fruit and a healthy protein powder.  For protein you can try peanut butter instead of protein powder.  Try a salad with kale, cucumber, cabbage and cut up some vegan meat alternatives and toss with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.  Before making the salad, prepare the kale and cabbage in a zip lock bag so all you have to do is make your salad in a bowl.  Have a veggie filled  dinner such as ratatouille, butternut squash soup, vegan chili, stir fry some tempeh with some steamed broccoli and noodles.

There are plenty more resolutions that I could add but these are the four important ones.
I know its been awhile since I've posted a blog.  I would like to post weekly blogs to keep up the practice.  Maybe a recipe blog of a favorite vegan dish, or a book review of a complete book or what I've read so far for a reading challenge.  But until then, ta ta for now! #NewYearsResolution #HealthyMindHealthyBody
